Trash pickup delayed, City offices closed Jan. 21

In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 21, curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed one day and City of Kansas City, Mo., offices, including the 3-1-1 Action Center, will be closed.

Residents who usually have Monday collection will receive this service Tuesday, Jan. 22. Residents who usually have Friday collection will receive this service Saturday, Jan 26.

Midtown/Plaza Area Plan Public Meeting #1

Please join the City Planning and Development Department Jan. 24, 2013 to discuss what you like about the Midtown/Plaza area, what could make it better, and how the area should develop in the future. The information you provide will assist the Midtown/Plaza Area Plan project staff. The Midtown/Plaza Area Plan, under the policy frame work of the FOCUS Kansas City Plan, will guide decisions related to future land use, zoning, public improvements, transportation, housing, and economic development for the area. Can’t wait that long and/or can’t attend the meeting? January SNA Meeting


The Southmoreland Neighborhood Association will be meeting tomorrow, Monday, January 14th at 7:00pm at All Souls' Unitarian Universalist Church. In addition to regular business, we will be selecting a slate of board positions for the new year, which will be voted on in February.   If you are interested in a leadership position, please attend!  We welcome any and all new participants!
