On September 30th, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
("NAMA") filed for a Master Plan District ("MPD") with the
City. If approved, an MPD would remove the current zoning of the area,
and replace it with the MPD. All subsequent changes to the MPD would be made
administratively, or by review of the City Plan Commission, and City Council.
After reviewing
the filing, meeting with NAMA representatives to review the filing, and informing NAMA of our concerns, SNA board members submitted comments for consideration by KCMO Planning and Zoning as they evaluate the filing.
